The California Avocado Commission was looking to differentiate itself from other regional varieties. So we positioned the California Avocado as the premium choice—not only in taste and quality, but in environmental and social consciousness. And we did that by telling the personal stories of the growers behind the fruit.

PR Idea

In addition to traditional tactics, we proposed a PR campaign that would lobby California to adopt the avocado as the official state fruit.
